There is a lot of focus in and outside of the LGBTQ+ community put on coming out and what happens after (International Coming Out Day, the It Gets Better project, pride month). What a lot of parents fail to see is that their child's journey starts long before they come out. There are often years of fear and buildup to the moment a person is able to tell their parents who they are. Sometimes, that moment never comes. At the end of the day, parents don’t want their children to fear them. This campaign is aimed to educate parents and family members of LGBTQ+ people on what their child might be going through, and how to create a more accepting environment for them.
